Nine-time All-Star point guard Russell Westbrook has found his third home this season, not very far from where he started his 2022-23 season.
After a brief tenure in the Utah Jazz organization following a trade from the Los Angeles Lakers, Westbrook is headed back to Crypto.com Arena: simply switching locker rooms.
Following his buyout from the Jazz, Westbrook has signed with the Los Angeles Clippers.
Westbrook jumps from (based on Western Conference current standings) a 13th-placed Lakers team, to a an 11th-placed Jazz team, to a 4th-placed Clippers team. Westbrook has basically guaranteed himself a spot in the playoffs this season, and the Clippers have room to rise: Los Angeles sits just one game behind the Sacramento Kings for third place in the West, and four games behind the Grizzlies for second place.
It is worth noting that the recently souped-up Phoenix Suns are just half a game behind the Clippers, with the also new-look Dallas Mavericks just 1.5 games behind.
Westbrook adds depth, skill, and experience to a championship-aspiring Los Angeles Clippers roster. Will the addition of Westbrook help the Clippers make a deep playoff run? Or is the West still too talented?
