Week 2 of any given NFL season can be tough to make picks for. Were Week 1 results a fluke, or a sign of things to come? For example, was the Los Angeles Rams dud in the season-opener a one-off loss to a good Buffalo team, or a show of regression from last season? Are the Seattle Seahawks and Chicago Bears better than we gave them credit for, or were did their Week 1 opponents just slip up?

Let’s dive right in to my Week 1 picks. To debate or discuss these picks, be sure to join the conversation with @SakSports on Twitter.

I apologize for any brevity, lack of pictures, lack of deep analysis, etc., I’m currently on a cross-country moving road trip with limited phone and no laptop access.

Picks Record

Week 1 Picks: 7-8-1

Week 1: 7-8-1

While I already spoke on making Week 2 picks, making Week 1 picks can be even more of a crapshoot. I have a couple picks I wish I could take back (Patriots, Packers) and a couple picks that I stand by even though they fell short (Lions, Titans, Broncos.)

Upsets by the Seahawks, Bears, and Steelers really tripped me up.

Season Record: 7-8-1 (47%)
