Things are starting to get more serious as the NFL enters Week 4 of its 2022-23 season. While there’s still 14 weeks left, destinies can begin to take shape now. A 3-1 start is worlds better than a 1-3 start, and an 0-4 start (an unfortunate possibility for the Las Vegas Raiders) all but eliminates any hope of contention.

Week 4 brings some big matchups including Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills squaring off with Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, as well as Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers taking on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs in a Super Bowl 55 rematch.

Let’s dive right in to my Week 4 picks. To debate or discuss these picks, be sure to join the conversation with @SakSports on Twitter.

I apologize for any brevity, lack of pictures, lack of deep analysis, etc., I’m currently on a cross-country moving road trip with limited phone and no laptop access.

Picks Record

Week 1: 7-8-1

Week 2: 8-8

Week 3: 9-7

Season Record: 24-23-1 (51%)

Another so-so week to begin my season, but at least I finally broke positive on both a weekly and seasonal basis. Let’s keep it above .500 the rest of the way.

New York Jets (1-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (1-2): Steelers win 17-10

Sak Sports Blog Game of the Week: Buffalo Bills (2-1) at Baltimore Ravens (2-1): Ravens win 33-30

Los Angeles Chargers (1-2) at Houston Texans (0-2-1): Chargers win 24-13

Arizona Cardinals (1-2) at Carolina Panthers (1-2): Cardinals win 27-20

New England Patriots (1-2) at Green Bay Packers (2-1): Packers win 27-10

Denver Broncos (2-1) at Las Vegas Raiders (0-3): Raiders win 23-17

Sunday Night Football

Kansas City Chiefs (2-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-1): A close runner-up for Game of the Week and a rematch of Super Bowl 55. I see Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs offense outmuscling Tom Brady a surprisingly low-scoring Tampa Bay offense. Chiefs win 27-20.

Monday Night Football

Los Angeles Rams (2-1) at San Francisco 49ers (1-2): Rams win 26-19
