For a few weeks now, the top of the NFL standings have been airtight, and ranking the league’s top teams against each other is even harder.

Well, first things first, there is no change at the top: Daniel Jones, Jonathan Taylor, and the 6-1 Indianapolis Colts are still the best in the league. With Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffering a two-score loss to the Detroit Lions, the Colts are the only “true” one-loss team left in the NFL (sorry, 4-1-1 Green Bay Packers.) The Colts have a +92 point differential this season, and this week’s opponent was a solid Los Angeles Chargers team. The Colts are for real, and need to be treated as such moving forward.

The Seattle Seahawks improved to 5-2 with a Monday Night Football win over the Houston Texans, and have almost quietly become one of the best teams in the league as well.

There’s a slew of 5-2 teams, a couple 4-2 teams, and even some strong 4-3 teams: the Power Rankings get absolutely tight here, splitting hairs in some instances, and balancing recent success with the season’s total resume.

The 5-2 Philadelphia Eagles leapfrogged the inactive Buffalo Bills, with a 28-22 win on the road that put the defending Super Bowl champions back on track.

The Los Angeles Rams also improved to 5-2, rolling over the now 4-3 Jacksonville Jaguars in London by a score of 35-7. The Rams are racking up wins, while Trevor Lawrence and the Jaguars have lost back-to-back games with a total of 19 points scored across those two games.

Other winners of Week 7 include the San Francisco 49ers (SNF win over the Atlanta Falcons), Kansas City Chiefs (31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders), Denver Broncos (33-point fourth quarter to beat the New York Giants) and Dallas Cowboys (44-22 win over the Washington Commanders to even their record at 3-3-1 after a poor start to the season.)
