In Week 3 of the 2023-24 NFL season, some of the good teams started to pull away from some notably bad teams.
For instance, the Miami Dolphins completely embarrassed the Denver Broncos 70-20 in a victory that included the most points scored in an NFL game since 1966. Meanwhile, the Broncos have allowed 152 points through three weeks. Good team, bad team.
The Buffalo Bills continued to bounce back from their Week 1 loss to the Jets, defeating the Washington Commanders 37-3. Though both teams have identical 2-1 records, it’s another case of good team, bad team.
The San Francisco 49ers (#1 for the third straight week) dominated the New York Giants 30-12 on Thursday Night Football, and despite making off-season upgrades to an existing playoff team, New York might be bad this year.
Most confusing of all: the Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals, once thought to be bad teams, are making noise after upsetting the Baltimore Ravens and Dallas Cowboys in Week 3, with those two losing teams taking hits in the rankings accordingly.
