The Minnesota Timberwolves kicked off the 2020 NBA Draft by selecting 19-year-old shooting guard Anthony Edwards out of Georgia. Edwards was picked over the likes of Lamelo Ball and Memphis center James Wiseman.

Minnesota will pair Edwards with their 2015 first overall pick, Karl Anthony-Towns. With D’Angelo Russell playing point guard, Edwards could be a key addition to a formidable Timberwolves offense.

Minnesota finished 19-45 last season, the third-worst record in the NBA behind the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors.
