Week 12 of the 2023-24 NFL Season featured Thanksgiving games and more: and though the season is a bit over halfway over by this point, this week marks the unofficial start of the final push towards the postseason.
The Green Bay Packers threw a wrench in the Detroit Lions’ Thanksgiving Day game plan for the only upset of the day, with the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco 49ers both improving to 8-3 on Turkey Day with wins over the Washington Commanders and Seattle Seahawks, respectively.
The Jacksonville Jaguars won a huge test against the Houston Texans, improving to 8-3 as well and securing their hold on the AFC South lead.
Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos won their fifth straight game, battling all the way back from a 1-5 start to the season, with a 29-12 win over the Cleveland Browns: one that could prove very helpful in the eventual wildcard race. Denver enters the Top 10 in my Power Rankings for the first time in the Russell Wilson era.
If I mentioned a team here, there’s a good chance they moved in this week’s Power Rankings: besides the Philadelphia Eagles, who literally can’t fly any higher than #1.
