Week 9 of the 2023-24 NFL season delivered some high-octane matchups, and there’s plenty of movement in this week’s Power Rankings as a result of the fall out.
The marquee game of the week, held in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday morning, saw the Kansas City Chiefs bounce back with a crucial 21-14 win over the Miami Dolphins to keep the pace in the race for the #1 seed in the AFC.
Keep pace with who? Well that would be Lamar Jackson and the 7-2 Baltimore Ravens, who have rattled off four straight wins including a 37-3 beat down of the Seattle Seahawks in Week 9.
Other teams heating up as the season has less games left than have already been played include the 5-4 Minnesota Vikings (what a performance by Joshua Dobbs on the spot), the 5-3 Cincinnati Bengals (shaking off their early season struggles with a 24-18 Monday Night Football win over the Buffalo Bills) and the 5-3 Pittsburgh Steelers, who outlasted Will Levis and the Tennessee Titans on Thursday Night Football.
But the cream of the crop is once again the defending NFC champions: the 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles, who faced a real test in the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football and came out on top 28-23.
