Week 6 of the 2023-24 NFL season brought some pivotal matchups: such a Indianapolis Colts-Jacksonville Jaguars clash for first place in the AFC South, the Baltimore Ravens and Tennessee Titans facing off in London, and one-loss Detroit Lions and Tamp Bay Buccaneers’ teams going head-to-head.
Unfortunately, due to an out-of-town work trip, you’re most definitely reading these picks after the Week 6 games have been played. There’s blurbs written for the first few games but besides that, mostly just my score predictions, which I made sure to take note of. Expect a no-frills article here, with a return to form in Week 7.
Read on for my 2023-24 NFL Week 6 Picks, and if you’d like to debate or discuss any predictions, join the conversation with @SakSports on Twitter.
Week 1: 9-7
Week 2: 12-4
Week 3: 8-8
Week 4: 12-4
Week 5: 7-7
Overall: 48-30 (62%)
Denver Broncos (1-4) at Kansas City Chiefs (4-1): Chiefs win handily, no score prediction made before game
Game in London Baltimore Ravens (3-2) vs. Tennessee Titans (2-3): Despite blowing a fourth quarter lead last week against the Steelers, Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens easily have the more talented team in this London matchup. Ravens win 23-17
Carolina Panthers (0-5) at Miami Dolphins (4-1): As lopsided as it can get when it comes to a zero-win team facing a four-win team in Week 6. The Miami Dolphins might not be perfect, but they sure can turn it on against inferior competition. Dolphins win 41-20
New Orleans Saints (3-2) at Houston Texans (2-3): Both of these teams are doing fairly well with their new quarterbacks, though neither has found steady consistency yet. I like the Saints better this season, but could see C.J. Stroud pulling out his third win here. Texans win 27-26
Washington Commanders (2-3) at Atlanta Falcons (3-2): These are two more teams that are exceeding expectations in the win column in the season’s early going, but much like the Saints and Texans, consistency is an issue. I don’t see either of these finishing with especially strong records, so I can’t give Atlanta a 4-2 start, right? Commanders win 30-24
Indianapolis Colts (3-2) at Jacksonville Jaguars (3-2): Jaguars win 27-17
Seattle Seahawks (3-1) at Cincinnati Bengals (2-3): Seahawks win 30-24
Minnesota Vikings (1-4) at Chicago Bears (1-4): Vikings win 24-17
San Francisco 49ers (5-0) at Cleveland Browns (2-2): 49ers win 38-6
New England Patriots (1-4) at Las Vegas Raiders (2-3): Raiders win 24-12
Detroit Lions (4-1) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-1): Lions win 38-23
Arizona Cardinals (1-4) at Los Angeles Rams (2-3): Rams win 27-20
Philadelphia Eagles (5-0) at New York Jets (2-3): Eagles win 33-15
New York Giants (1-4) at Buffalo Bills (3-2): Bills win 48-10
Dallas Cowboys (3-2) at Los Angeles Chargers (2-2): Chargers win 30-27
