The 2022 NFL offseason has been an absolute whirlwind to follow, but the drama isn’t slowing down just yet. After failing to make significant progress on a contract extension, the Kansas City Chiefs are reportedly allowing three-time All-Pro and six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Tyreek Hill to seek a trade.

The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are both said to be “already engaged in serious discussions” to acquire the speedy wide receiver. Wherever Hill lands, he will be in line for a massive payday, as the Chiefs leading pass-catcher already declined an offer from Kansas City that would have made him the highest-paid wide receiver in the NFL.. The Jets and Dolphins both have long-term cap space available to commit to Hill, but whether or not the wide receiver is interested in these destinations is yet to be known.

Last year, Hill caught a career-high 111 passes in his sixth NFL season, good for 1,239 receiving yards and nine receiving touchdowns. Known for his blistering speed and acceleration, “Cheetah” has been a favorite target of Patrick Mahomes for years, including Kansas City’s Super Bowl 54 Championship run.
