There’s some huge games in Week 14 with playoff implications on the line for the 2025-26 NFL postseason.

It starts on Thursday Night Football, as Dak Prescott and the surging 6-5-1 Dallas Cowboys take on a 7-5 Detroit Lions team in need of a bounce back win following a Thanksgiving Day loss. The game could be a turning point in the postseason hopes of both teams.

On Sunday afternoon, two huge divisional battles are happening where the opponents hold the exact same record: the 8-4 Indianapolis Colts and 8-4 Jacksonville Jaguars will clash for the AFC South lead, while the 6-6 Pittsburgh Steelers and 6-6 Baltimore Ravens will jostle for the AFC North lead. Oh, and the NFC North lead is on the line too as the 8-3-1 Green Bay Packers host the 9-3 Chicago Bears.

On Sunday Night Football, for the third week in a row, Patrick Mahomes and the 6-6 Kansas City Chiefs are in panic mode. The Chiefs can’t afford to lose head-to-head to the 7-5 Houston Texans, as both teams could be vying for a wildcard spot in the AFC. Can Houston’s defense keep the Texans’ hot streak alive, or will Mahomes and the Chiefs find a way to stay alive in the playoff race?

Finally, on Monday Night Football, two 8-4 teams meet in an interconference matchup: Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles travel West to play Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers.

Sakmann Sports Game of the Week Indianapolis Colts (8-4) at Jacksonville Jaguars (8-4): While there are games out there with flashier names, I chose this game as the Sakmann Sports Game of the Week for it’s potential ripple ramifications in the AFC playoff race. Daniel Jones and the Indianapolis Colts were in the driver’s seat for the conference’s #1 seed for most of the early season, but will need a win here just to get back on top of the AFC South. For Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars, the fork in the path is basically the same: win, and control the AFC South, or lose and be part of a crowded wildcard field. This game means a lot for the postseason security of both teams. Colts win 22-20

Pittsburgh Steelers (6-6) at Baltimore Ravens (6-6): Ravens win 27-17

Denver Broncos (10-2) at Las Vegas Raiders (2-10): Broncos win 24-18
