NFL Week 11 had some hard-hitting matchups, and while movement is slower in the Power Rankings in the second half of the season, there was no shortage of important results from last week’s games.
The top is as crowded as ever, with five two-loss teams that could all lay claim to being the best team in the NFL. I’ve had the Indianapolis Colts at the top spot for a few weeks now, but after beating the Seattle Seahawks 21-19 and intercepting Sam Darnold four times, the 8-2 Los Angeles Rams are too good to ignore. The Rams are the new #1 team in this week’s Power Rankings, with a strong resume and stellar play on both sides of the ball.
The reigning Super Bowl 59 champion Philadelphia Eagles are also, clearly, an elite team, despite winning some ugly games and struggling on offense. In Week 11, the Eagles outlasted the Detroit Lions 16-9 on Sunday Night Football, improving to 8-2 to pace the NFC alongside the Rams.
After that, pick your poison with an AFC powerhouse: the 9-2 Denver Broncos, who just upset Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to drop the reigning AFC champions to 5-5, and the 9-2 New England Patriots are both on red-hot eight-game winning streaks. Bo Nix and Drake Maye will be chasing each other’s teams, as well as Daniel Jones’ Colts, for the AFC’s #1 seed down the stretch: just like everyone expected.
The stock of the Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and San Francisco 49ers are on the rise after Week 11 wins, while the aforementioned Chiefs and Seahawks are trending in the wrong direction after Week 11’s results.
