NFL 2025 Week 2 is in the books (and well in the books by the time this is being writing and published). What did we learn in Week 2?

The Philadelphia Eagles are still the best team in the NFL, warding off Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs once again in a Super Bowl 59 rematch, and sending the perineal AFC powerhouse team to 0-2.

The Buffalo Bills are right up in the conversation with Philadelphia, as are Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens, who bounced back well from Week 1’s stunning loss to Buffalo.

Rising near the top are Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers, who followed up a stomping of the Detroit Lions in Week 1 with a deceive win over the Washington Commanders in Week 2 (both NFC semi-finalists in last year’s playoffs) and the Los Angeles Chargers, who moved to 2-0 to take control of the AFC West in the season’s early-going.

The middle of the pack is really what gets interesting and difficult to get a good pulse on after just two weeks, but the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, and Dallas Cowboys all bounced back from Week 1 losses. The Chicago Bears, Minnesota Vikings, and New York Jets, however, took a step backwards from their Week 1 performances, whether that performance was a win or loss.

PREVIOUS RANKINGS: Post-Week 1 Power Rankings

Biggest Winners of Week 2

The Los Angeles Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, and Green Bay Packers each gained just one spot in this week’s Power Rankings, but movement is harder to come by near the top. Otherwise, the Seattle Seahawks, Atlanta Falcons, and Arizona Cardinals all moved up five spots as the biggest movers of the week.

Biggest Losers of Week 2

I only docked the 2-0 Cincinnati Bengals one spot for losing Joe Burrow, but on paper, the Bengals ceiling is significantly lower until Burrow’s return. Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears lost a lot of respect after being blown out by the Detroit Lions to fall to 0-2, tumbling five spots in my Power Rankings.
