Late Tuesday night, in advance of Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, Adrian Wojnarowksi dropped a classic “Woj bomb”, announcing a deal that been gaining traction during the day. The trade would be updated throughout a series of tweets, from which I cleaned up and broke down what each team traded away and received.

Houston Rockets

Trade Away: Clint Capela (to Atlanta), Nene (to Atlanta), Gerald Green (to Denver), 1st-Round Pick (to Denver)

Receive: Robert Covington (from Minnesota), Jordan Bell (from Minnesota)

Atlanta Hawks

Trade Away: Evan Turner (to Minnesota), Nets 1st-round pick (to Minnesota)

Receive: Clint Capela (from Houston), Nene (from Houston)

Denver Nuggets

Trade Away: Malik Beasley (to Minnesota), Juancho Hernangomez (to Minnesota), Jarred Vanderbilt (to Minnesota)

Receive: 1st-round pick (from Houston), Gerald Green (from Houston), Keita Bates-Diop (from Minnesota), Noah Vonleh (from Minnesota), Shabazz Napier (from Minnesota)

Minnesota Timberwolves

Trade Away: Robert Covington (to Houston), Keita Bates-Diop (to Denver), Noah Vonleh (to Denver), Jordan Bell (to Houston), Shabazz Napier (to Denver)

Receive: Evan Turner (from Atanta), Malik Beasley (from Denver), Juancho Hernangomez (from Denver), Nets 1st-round pick (via Atlanta), Jarred Vanderbilt (from Denver)

NBA: Phoenix Suns at Golden State Warriors
Is this mega-trade a prelude to the Timberwolves trading for D’Angelo Russell? Or does the major shake up that Minnesota underwent take the place of that potential trade?
