The penultimate week of the 2025-26 NFL regular season didn’t disappoint, with some of the league’s best teams showing their strength just ahead of playoff season, and other teams faltering when it mattered most.

Week 17’s biggest winners include Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles, who narrowly escaped Buffalo with a 13-12 win over Josh Allen and the Bills, as well as the Tyler Huntley, Derrick Henry, and the Baltimore Ravens stomping Mailk Willis and the Green Bay Packers 41-24.

The San Francisco 49ers outdueled the Chicago Bears 42-38 on Sunday Night Football in a game that somehow makes me feel more confident about both teams.

On the flip side, the Detroit Lions and Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to lose games with playoff implications on the line, after solid starts to the season. Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers also didn’t do themselves any favors either with a loss to Shedeur Sanders and the Cleveland Browns, setting up a do-or-die matchup with the Ravens in Week 18 for the AFC North.

At the top, the Seattle Seahawks, Denver Broncos, and New England Patriots just keep winning, as well as the red-hot Houston Texans.
