NFL Week 16 delivered some high-octane matchups that didn’t disappoint.
In an instant Game of the Year candidate, Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks defeated Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams on a two-point conversion in overtime to take control of both the NFC West and the NFC’s #1 seed. After improving to 12-3 with a win over an elite Rams team, the Seahawks are the new #1 team in this week’s Power Rankings.
The top spot was relinquished by the Denver Broncos , who finally came back down to Earth after 11 straight wins, losing to Trevor Lawrence and the Jacksonville Jaguars . The Jaguars are in control of the AFC South , and are looking very strong as January approaches.
In an NFC North thriller on Saturday night, Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears used a late onside kick to fuel an improbable comeback, culminating in an overtime win of their own over an injured Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers .
There’s just two weeks left in the regular season: which teams are looking the strongest heading in to the approaching postseason?
