The third week of the 2024-25 NFL season is drawing near, and while the season is still early, no teams want to fall in a 1-2 or even 0-3 hole to start the season.

Specifically, the Cincinnati Bengals, Jacksonville Jaguars, Indianapolis Colts, Baltimore Ravens, and Los Angeles Rams all entered the season with realistic playoff expectations, even Super Bowl expectations for some: yet all five teams are still searching for their first win of the season.

On the other side of the coin is the undefeated teams. A 2-0 start isn’t too surprising for the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills. But the Los Angeles Chargers, Houston Texans, Minnesota Vikings, Seattle Seahawks, New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and Pittsburgh Steelers all have hot 2-0 starts to defend as well.

Undefeated teams will clash on Sunday as the Pittsburgh Steelers host the Los Angeles Chargers in their home opener, and C.J. Stroud and the Houston Texans travel to take on Sam Darnold and the Minnesota Vikings in my highlighted Sak Sports Blog Game of the Week.

Other big games include Jalen Hurts and the 1-1 Philadelphia Eagles attempting to bounce back from Monday night’s late collapse, against Derek Carr and a New Orleans Saints team that has scored on all 14 drives to start the season, as well as Lamar Jackson and the winless Baltimore Ravens taking on a Dallas Cowboys team that was humbled by New Orleans in Week 2.
