In September, Drake and 21 Savage were forced to postpone their “It’s All a Blur” tour stop in Denver, Colorado at Ball Arena due to “logistical concerns” just days before the concert was set to be held on September 8, 2023.

With a similar situation unfolding in 2018 with Drake and Migos postponing and finally cancelling a stop in Denver, there was reason for fans to be pessimistic that the Toronto rapper would be coming to Ball Arena at all on his latest tour.

But after two months of silence, Drake and Ball Arena made an announcement that many fans will probably consider worth the wait.

J. Cole will co-headline the 2024 tour dates with Drake, presumably replacing 21 Savage.

As the second leg of “It’s All a Blur Tour,” the “Big as the What?” portion of the tour will hit 18 cities, starting with back-to-back shows in Denver on January 18 and 19, 2024, and concluding in Birmingham, Alabama on March 27.

For the first time, Drake and North Carolina-based Dreamville rapper/singer/producer J. Cole will grace the stage together on tour. Widely considered two of the best rappers of their generation, the tour is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to hear the two highly successful artists go classic-for-classic, and assuredly perform their latest hit “First Person Shooter.”

“Big as the what? Big as the what? Big as the Super Bowl” Drake boasts about himself and Cole, and while it’s slight hyperbole, the fanfare and hype for this tour will make it very clear why these rappers are just as big as the world’s biggest sporting events.

If the show is held, it will be the first time Drake has performed in Denver since his 2016 “Summer Sixteen” tour, co-headlined by Future.

Tickets for the show postponed in September will be honored for January 18 show, with tickets for the January 19 show going on sale later this week.
