Happy holidays and Merry Christmas! NFL Week 17 kicks off on Christmas Day, with three matchups that admittedly looked way better when they were originally announced: Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions at Minnesota Vikings, and Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs.

But the jam-packed week still has plenty of action: On Saturday, in Sakmann Sports’ highlighted matchup of the week, the red-hot Houston Texans, winners of seven straight, take on a hungry Los Angeles Chargers team still in play for an AFC West title. Also on Saturday, the Baltimore Ravens will take their last stand, with the possibility of being eliminated with a loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Sunday’s biggest games are between Josh Allen and the 11-4 Buffalo Bills and Jalen Hurts and the 10-5 Philadelphia Eagles, as well as the 9-4 Chicago Bears clashing with the 9-4 San Francisco 49ers on Sunday Night Football.
