Mount Galbraith Park is located just West of Golden, Colorado, just down Golden Gate Canyon Road. With dedicated hiking trails, it’s a great place to get in to nature without going too far from Denver for a day hike.

The pictures I’ve collected are from a 5.35 mile, 3-hour hike I took in April 2024 that featured 1,241 feet of elevation gain and a maximum elevation of 7,296 feet, offering great views of the surrounding area.

I took the Cedar Gulch Trail from the parking lot, hopped on the Mt. Galbraith Loop and subsequent Mt. Galbraith Summit Trail to get to the maximum elevation. Near the end of the loop, I also completed an optional spur on the Nightbird Gulch Trail, completing a neighboring lesser summit.

Unfortunately, I won’t have too much more commentary to add about this hike, as the pictures have been sitting here for almost 20 months at time of writing (November 2025.) Still, these pictures bring some fond memories and this is definitely a hike I would both recommend to others and even complete again myself.
